About Keyring King
Handmade Bullet Casing Keyrings Crafted in Oswestry, Shropshire
Welcome to Keyring King. I’m Mark, the co-founder and craftsman behind every keyring we produce.
For over 12 years, shooting has been one of my biggest passions. Like many shooting enthusiasts, I wanted a way to keep a reminder of the sport with me every day. That simple idea led me to start creating my own bullet casing keyrings using spent brass from the calibres I enjoyed shooting most.
What began as a personal hobby has grown into a business that has proudly supplied more than 3,000 handcrafted keyrings to customers across the UK and around the world since officially launching in 2016.
How It All Started
The very first keyring I made was from a 7.62 NATO casing. It remains one of my favourite calibres to shoot, particularly through my antique rifle, and it seemed like the perfect place to start.
As friends, fellow shooters and collectors saw the keyrings I was making, requests soon started coming in for their own personalised designs. Before long, what started as a simple project became Keyring King.
Over the years, I’ve continually refined the manufacturing process, invested in better equipment, and sourced higher-quality components to ensure every keyring is built to last.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
One of the biggest lessons I learned early on was that quality matters at every stage.
Using incorrect tools, unsuitable resizing dies, or poor-quality keyring hardware often resulted in products that didn’t meet the standards I wanted to achieve. Through experience and continual improvement, I’ve developed a process that focuses on durability, consistency and quality craftsmanship.
This commitment to quality is one of the reasons customers continue to choose Keyring King over cheaper alternatives.
Where Our Brass Comes From
Most of the spent brass casings used in our products are sourced from local shooting clubs and ranges.
Each casing has its own history and character before being carefully cleaned, processed and transformed into a unique keepsake. Rather than allowing quality brass to go to waste, we give it a new purpose as a practical item that can be carried and enjoyed every day.
Our Most Popular Calibres
Over the years we’ve worked with a wide range of calibres, but some remain customer favourites.
Our most popular designs include:
Interestingly, the 7.62 NATO keyring that started the business remains one of our best-selling products today.
How We Make Our Keyrings
Every keyring is handcrafted in our workshop in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Our process includes:
- Carefully selecting quality spent brass casings.
- Inspecting each casing for defects or damage.
- Cleaning and preparing the brass.
- Resizing and reforming where necessary using specialist equipment.
- Polishing the casing to achieve a clean, attractive finish.
- Applying engraving or customisation when requested.
- Fitting durable, high-quality keyring hardware.
- Conducting a final quality inspection before dispatch.
Every keyring is individually handled throughout the process rather than mass-produced.
